Stephen Talasnik

Stephen Talasnik (b. 1954, Philadelphia, PA) studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Tyler School of Art. For over fifteen years, he divided his time between New York and Japan, traveling throughout Thailand, the Philippines, China, and Korea. In addition to major installations at Storm King Art Center, he has created site-specific works at the Denver Botanic Gardens and Manitoga, the Russel Wright Design Center in Garrison, New York. His drawings are held in numerous public collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), Centre Pompidou (Paris), Albertina Museum (Vienna), the British Museum (London), the National Gallery of Art (Washington, D.C.), and the Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam), among others.
