It’s time to appreciate the dollar. From January 23 to February 7, the gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of ballpoint pen drawings of paper clips on dollar bills by Renato Orara. Starting at $150 per bill, prices will increase and fluctuate each day during the two-week event. Renato Orara brings drawing to an extreme. Variations of tones, hues, shapes and shades rendered with a ballpoint pen bring ordinary objects to a degree where they almost breathe.
Renato Orara, born in the Philippines, lives and works in New York.
